The weaver’s loom and the weave

The image that most shows the structure and the organizational functioning of the Rede Mulher de Educação (Women Network) is the relation between the weaver’s loom and the weave. Through the weave we get the weaver’s loom, but it’s in the weave that the waver’s loom finds its reason to exist. The weaver’s loom is composes following instances of decision:

• General Assembly composed by 22 associated educators from RME that works in many different regions of the country (urban and rural areas)

• Counsels: Administration and Fiscal

• Executive coordination located in the city of São Paulo, responsible for the administrative and technical fields.

The weave articulates eight Focal Points, located in seven Brazilian States. The Focal Points are organizations, which RME gives priority to capacitate, exchange actions and make projects.
